Cross over 4th and keep walking past the church along Chestnut.
St. Mary's Episcopal church was built from 1884 to 1890. It's constructed from native limestone. It is the oldest church building in Lampasas still in use.
St. Mary’s was modeled after a Gothic church in Rugby, England, at the birthplace of pioneer communicant W. T. Campbell. The interior decor includes oaken altar and the pews are original. Inside, the sanctuary contains the famous Tintoretto panel.
