Lampasas Walks: Historic Downtown Lampasas
Little Hotel 208 Western Avenue
Stop here, to take a look at the cottage.
After the Keystone Hotel was completed in 1870, the leftover stone was used to build the "Little Hotel" at this corner. Mr. and Mrs. Gracy lived on the upper floor and the downstairs was used for travelers. It is a two story limestone structure with a wooden balcony and railings. It was built by Charles Green, a stone mason who worked on several other buildings in the area, including the Keystone Hotel. Today, it is used for small apartments.
Keep walking down 2nd Street here. I'll meet you at the end of the block.
