Lampasas Walks: Historic Downtown Lampasas
You can carry on past Hart House while I tell you about it.
It was built soon after Civil War. It was originally a 2-room, 2-story stagecoach stand and hotel in the 1870's. It was renovated twice, and expanded to accommodate visitors to the local health resort. It has also been a tannery, and has survived two floods of Sulphur Creek. It is one of the oldest buildings in Lampasas.
We're on our way back to the Courthouse Square now. Keep walking up 5th Street away from Western.
